Dismissal in Criminal Domestic Violence Case. Client arrested after girlfriend calls 911 alleging that he had punched her in the head and thrown her across the room. Police arrive at home, disregard client's side of the story and ridicule his self-defense explanation. Client is arrested, spends 4 days in custody and ultimately bails out on a $50,000 bond. Through investigation into the alleged victim's own character for violence, the defendant's nonviolent character, and the alleged victim's history of deceit, we were able to show that despite physical injuries the alleged victim could not be relied upon to pursue criminal charges.
