DUI reduced to DRY Reckless - No DL Suspension. Client pulls out of a big parking structure at night in San Francisco. Parking structure is lit so well that client forgets to turn on headlights. Client is stopped by police for driving without headlights. Client is given Field Sobriety Tests after admitting to having a few drinks at a benefit for the Haiti disaster. Client blows barely over the limit of .08 and is charged with DUI. Given client's job description, a driver's license suspension would have caused client to lose his government job of over 20 years and thereby jeopardized his pension. Justice is served and the potential gravely disproportionate penalty was avoided.
